Jordan records 18 deaths and 9,117 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 18 deaths and 9,117 new coronavirus cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,591,278.

The death toll has risen to 13,731.

The cases are:

-3,925 in Amman

-1,173 in Irbid

-949 in Zarqa

-667 in Balqa

-433 in Mafraq

-394 in Karak

-330 in Madaba

-313 in Jerash

-219 in Tafilah

-208 in Ramtha

-178 in Ajloun

-160 in Aqaba

-112 in Ma'an

-56 in Petra

A total 162 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 194 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 978 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 145,399 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 42,117 PCR tests were conducted.

Tuesday, 21.65 percent of PCR tests came back positive in comparison to 21.55 percent Monday.
