Sunday, a group of settlers attacked the residents of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, activists and journalists while they were near their homes.

Clashes also erupted Saturday night as the settlers gathered near the house of the Salim family in the neighborhood and then attacked the citizens with stones and pepper spray, and the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF), in turn, fired sound bombs at the citizens instead of arresting the settlers.

Palestinians had suffered burns in the face and neck, and were suffocated after being sprayed with pepper spray at a close distance. One of the citizens was hospitalized, while first aid was given to others.

The far-right politician Itamar Ben-Gvir, who intends to open a new office for himself again in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of Occupied Jerusalem, called on settlers to gather in the neighborhood.

This came nine months after the establishment of an office belonging to him in Sheikh Jarrah, which led to great anger and he was forced to close his office at that time.
