Jordan records 27 deaths and 21,977 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 27 deaths and 21,977 new coronavirus cases Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,396,430.

The death toll has risen to 13,409.

The cases are:

-8,418 in Amman

-3,837 in Irbid

-1,950 in Balqa

-1,594 in Zarqa

-1,263 in Karak

-1,120 in Jerash

-998 in Madaba

-711 in Ajloun

-696 in Mafraq

-450 in Aqaba

-399 in Ramtha

-332 in Tafilah

-175 in Ma'an

-34 in Petra

A total 228 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 194 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 1,176 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 177,203 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 71,297 PCR tests were conducted.

Wednesday, 30.82 percent of PCR tests came back positive in comparison to 30.11 percent Tuesday.
