Jordanian Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) shut down a doughnut bakery in Amman for violation of health codes by using expired ingredients as well as storing food and chemicals in the same place.

The JFDA disposed of the materials.

The JFDA’s General Director said Sunday in a statement that their inspector shut down a kitchen in a hotel in Amman after discovering that the staff had been using expired ingredients.

The administration also seized and disposed of 16,000 expired makeup and skin care products.

The JFDA director noted that the seized items had their expiry date forged, in addition to previous health code violations.

He added that more than 40 cartons of expired foodstuff and drinks were disposed of, and the storages that had them were shut down.
