With over 21,000 coronavirus cases, Jordan records highest daily number since beginning of pandemic

Jordan recorded 17 deaths and 21,386 new coronavirus cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,301,492.

The death toll has risen to 13,288.

The cases are:

10,471 in Amman

-2,881 in Irbid

-2,103 in Zarqa

-1,152 in Balqa

-917 in Madaba

-727 in Aqaba

-685 in Jerash

-659 in Mafraq

-477 in Ajloun

-437 in Karak

-390 in Ramtha

-274 in Tafilah

-181 in Ma'an

-32 in Petra

A total 228 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 216 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 1,109 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 127,580 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 74,731 PCR tests were conducted.

Friday, 28.62 percent of PCR tests came back positive in comparison to 28.10 percent Thursday.
