Prince Charles, Prince of Wales, accompanied by HRH The Duchess of Cornwall, arrived in the Kingdom Tuesday for a two-day official visit, during which he will meet with their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah.

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall were received by His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, the King’s chief adviser for religious and cultural affairs and personal envoy, head of the delegation of honor accompanying the guest, Mayor of Amman, Governor of the Capital, Jordan's ambassador to the United Kingdom, the United Kingdom's ambassador to Jordan and embassy staff, and a number of civilian and military officials.

His Majesty and the Prince of Wales will discuss the historical and distinguished friendship between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the United Kingdom, as the two kingdoms celebrate this year the centenary of bilateral relations.

HRH Prince Charles and HRH The Duchess of Cornwall will visit a number of institutions working in the areas they support, such as preserving the environment, promoting interfaith dialogue, preserving heritage, building youth capacity, empowering women, and supporting refugees and host communities by providing them with training and employment opportunities.
