The Civil Aviation Authority in Sudan announced the suspension of all incoming and outgoing flights from Khartoum International Airport from Tuesday until Oct. 30, according to statements on the airport's official Facebook page.

The Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority, Ibrahim Adlan, said that the decision to suspend flights also includes all of Sudan's airports, adding that it was taken due to the current conditions the country is facing.

However, Adlan noted that the Sudanese airspace is open to transit flights.

Tuesday, Sudanese protesters took to the streets following clashes Monday protesting against the army's seizure of power in the country.

On the other hand, the commander of the Sudanese army, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, revealed Tuesday, the location of Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok, indicating that he was not able to work freely because he was politically restricted.

Burhan said, "Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok is in my house," explaining that he is in good health and will return to his home later Tuesday.

Additionally, he noted that the Prime Minister has not been harmed, but has only been removed to preserve his safety.

He indicated that detainees accused of criminal charges will remain in detention, while the rest of the detainees will be released.

"The next government will not include any political forces, and it will be a government of competencies," Burhan lastly said.
