In a session held last Sunday, the Council of Ministers decided to change its previous decision regarding the start of daylight saving time in the Kingdom to start as of midnight of the last Thursday of February of each year, instead of the night of the last Thursday of March.

However, no amendments have been made to the winter timing.

Jordan is expected to switch to winter timing Friday, Oct. 29. The clock will be delayed by 60 minutes at 1am Friday morning, marking the end of daylight saving.

This was a decision implemented by the Council of Ministers in 2013, signifying the start of the winter time, which commences on the last Friday of October each year.
