Here are the latest developments related to the spread of the coronavirus in the world Sunday, in light of the latest numbers, new measures and facts:

- 75 percent of Italians support the health declaration -

About three out of four Italians expressed their support for the health permit and its expansion to combat the pandemic, according to an opinion poll published by the newspaper La Stampa Sunday.

Since Sept. 1, the health permit, which was initially mandatory only for medical personnel, has been extended to teachers as well as passengers of long-distance trains, ships, planes and buses. Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi intends to expand it to other sectors.

- 140,000 people demonstrated in France against the health permit -

About 140,000 people, including about 18,000 in Paris, demonstrated against the health permit imposed in several cities in France, for the eighth week in a row, in smaller numbers than those that participated in the previous gatherings, according to the French Ministry of the Interior.

The ministry counted 215 gatherings, including five in Paris.

According to a study conducted by "Odoxa Backbone Consulting" and published Thursday by the newspaper "Le Figaro," two thirds of the French approve of the health declaration.

- More than 4.56 million deaths -

The coronavirus has caused the death of at least 4,560,565 people in the world since the World Health Organization office in China reported the emergence of the disease at the end of December 2019, according to a census conducted by Agence France-Presse based on official sources Sunday at 10:00 GMT.

The United States is the most affected country in terms of deaths (648,121), followed by Brazil (583,362 deaths) and India (440,533 deaths).

The World Health Organization, taking into account the excess mortality rate directly or indirectly related to Covid-19, believes that the real effects of the epidemic may be two or three times greater than the officially announced outcomes.
