JFDA issues emergency use authorization for Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine

Monday, the Director General of the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) Nizar Muhaidat told Jordan TV that the JFDA issued an emergency use authorization for the Chinese Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine.

This makes Sinovac the ninth vaccine to get approved in the Kingdom, according to Muhaidat.

Jordan began its national vaccination campaign, using the Pfizer-BioNTech and Sinopharm vaccines on Jan. 13.

Jordan recorded 15 deaths and 976 new coronavirus cases Monday.
