A source said Wednesday that Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya decided to prevent the holding of exhibitions, conferences and festivals until the beginning of September.

The source added that Faraya circulated the decision to the administrative rulers in all governorates.

Sep. 1, the third phase of the government’s reopening plan will enter into force. The third phase aims to return to normal life. Curfew hours will be canceled, students in schools and universities will return to in-person education, and the majority of sectors and activities will be allowed to operate at full capacity.

Festivals, conferences, exhibitions and theaters will return to operating, but at a limited rate of capacity and within the required health conditions.
