The Higher Education Council decided in its session held today, Wednesday, headed by the Minister of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abu Quddis, to accept the resignations of the heads of each of the public universities.

The Council also decided to approve the placement by appointing:

1) Prof. Dr. Nathir Obeidat / President of the University of Jordan.

2) Prof. Dr. Islam Massad / President of Yarmouk University.

3) Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-Salem, President of the Jordan University of Science and Technology.

4) Prof. Dr. Hani Al-Damour/ President of Al al-Bayt University.

5) Prof. Dr. Omar Al-Maaytah/ President of Tafila Technical University.

6) Prof. Dr. Alaa Al-Din Al-Halhouli / President of the German Jordanian University.

The Higher Education Council also decided to recommend to the Prime Minister to accept the resignation of His Excellency Eng. Hisham Al-Khatib from his position as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Balqa Applied University, and to accept the resignation of His Excellency Mr. Ghaleb Al-Zoubi from the membership of the Board of Trustees of Al-Balqa Applied University.

The Council decided to recommend to the Prime Minister to appoint His Excellency Dr. Jawad Al-Anani as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Balqa Applied University, in addition to recommending the appointment of His Excellency Dr. Ali Al-Hiyasat as a member of the Board of Trustees of Al-Balqa Applied University.
