Young girl killed in hotel fire in Iraq

A young girl was killed as a result of a large fire that broke out Sunday in a hotel in the Karbala governorate, southern Iraq.

Iraqi police officer Jabbar Khaled said that a fire broke out in a hotel located in the center of Karbala. The fire caused great damage to the building and furniture.

He pointed out that the civil defense teams were able to rescue the rest of the people before putting out the fire.

An investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire.
