MoH calls on citizens to continue adhering to preventive measures to avoid third COVID-19 wave

Friday, the Secretary-General of Epidemiological Affairs at the Ministry of Health Adel Al-Belbisi stressed that in order to avoid entering a third wave of the coronavirus, citizens must continue adhering to the required health and safety measures.

Belbisi said that the World Health Organization (WHO) expects a new COVID-19 wave in Europe due to citizens’ lack of commitment to wearing face masks and social distancing.

In an interview with Roya’s Helwa Ya Donya, Belbisi also talked about the need to register on the official online platform designated to receive the coronavirus vaccine.

He pointed out that the number of those registered on the platform reached around 3.3 million, stressing that the Ministry of Health aims to reach 4.5 million by September.

He lastly called on everyone to register to receive the vaccine.
