Wadi Araba border crossing resumes operations Sunday

The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) announced the resumption of operations at the southern Wadi Araba border crossing for passengers starting Sunday, July 4, with new instructions to be implemented.

The new instructions include:

1- The southern Wadi Araba border crossing begins receiving passengers from 8am until 3:30pm, except on Fridays and Saturdays.

2- The border crossing will operate with a capacity of 500 passengers per day.

3- Arrivals and departures must provide proof that they have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine with 21 days having passed, or a negative PCR test which was taken 72 hours or less before entering or leaving through the border crossing.

5- If the tourist stays inside the Kingdom for a period of less than three days, a PCR test is not required upon departure.

6- If the tourist stays inside the Kingdom for a period of more than three days, a PCR test is required before departure.

7- Travelers cannot enter through the southern Wadi Araba crossing with their own vehicles.

The ASEZA lastly indicated that a center will be established at the southern Wadi Araba border crossing to conduct a coronavirus test.
