Tuesday, inspection teams from the Ministry of Labor shut down four shisha cafes for serving shisha indoors and issued 88 fines for facilities that did not comply with Defense Order No. 26.

The ministry's spokesperson Mohammad al-Zyoud said inspection teams carried out 289 field visits across the kingdom. 

According to Zyoud 53 fines were issued for the absence of a health supervisor in these facilities, which are required in light of the coronavirus pandemic, and 35 did not comply with wearing face masks.

Zyoud stressed that inspections are ongoing around the clock in the capital and the rest of the Kingdom to ensure compliance with Labor Laws, defense orders as well as health and safety protocols.
