Jordan records nine deaths and 520 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded nine deaths and 520 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 747,000.

The death toll has risen to 9,671.

The cases are:

-312 in Amman

-78 in Zarqa

-31 in Irbid

-16 in Madaba

-14 in Balqa

-13 in Karak

-12 in Aqaba

-10 in Jerash

-10 in Ajloun

-Nine in Mafraq

-Seven in Ma'an, including two in Petra

-Six in Tafilah

A total of 54 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 73 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 6,498 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 599 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 730,831.

There are 443 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 19,213 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 7,696,783.

Monday, 2.71 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 2.55 percent on Sunday.
