Tuesday, the media spokesman for the Royal Committee for the Modernization of the Political System, Muhannad Mobaideen, spoke about the details of the work of the Royal Committee for the Modernization of the Political System.

During the Roya news bulletin, Mobaideen affirmed the committee's commitment to the directives of His Majesty to the head of the committee and its members, related to drafting two laws for elections and parties, presenting recommendations for developing legislation governing local administration, and making constitutional amendments.

Mobaideen said the conversation and discussion that took place earlier Tuesday revolved around work, goals and objectives, considering it 'initial brainstorming.'

He added the meeting led to six committees, including election, parties, youth, women, local administration, and the constitution, to formulate consensual recommendations at specific times within the axes included in the royal message.

Each committee consists of 18 members, with one person being allowed to be in more than one committee.

Mobaideen noted that it is too early to discuss conflicting views and reaching consensus outcomes.

Additionally, he indicated that a form was distributed to members of the Royal Committee, to ask them which committee they would like to join according to priority.

He pointed out that the general committee delegated the Chairman of the Committee, MP Samir Al-Rifai, to choose a chairperson and rapporteur for each of the six committees.

Mobaideen expected that next Thursday's meeting will sort out the committees, and the chairman and rapporteur of each committee will be known, noting that the committee's meetings will begin next week, and will fall on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays of each week.
