Thursday, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Yousef Huneiti and German Ambassador to Jordan Bernhard Kampmann signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) - Arab Army and the German army.

According to the JAF's statement, the MOU aims to increase cooperation in the field of military training, joint exercises, defense industries, military health services, cybersecurity and professional development.

Huneiti said "The pact came within the framework of the JAF's endeavor to enhance aspects of military cooperation of common interest, exchange experiences and develop defense capabilities with all brotherly and friendly countries." He added that the JAF has 'close' relations with the German army.

Kampmann praised the JAF's 'remarkable' role in its pursuit to achieve security and peace in the region and the "world at large," through international partnerships with peacekeeping forces.

Kampmann added that this agreement came as a result of the JAF's 'high' efficiency and professionalism, which would bolster areas of joint military cooperation to the "highest" levels between the two friendly armies.
