The Israeli Occupation's Defense Minister Benny Gantz confirmed the possibility of the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) targeting the leaders of Hamas and Jihad movements in Gaza during the next stage, despite declaring a ceasefire.

According to Hebrew media, he said Tel Aviv will not accept the firing of any rockets at its territory, even if it was in small numbers.

Gantz said the IOF will implement a strict response policy, even if it is forced to occupy Gaza again to overthrow Hamas.

Gantz explained that occupying Gaza is the last resort, considering that the leader of Hamas in Gaza Yahya Sinwar took the initiative to escalate the situation in order to 'liken himself to Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi.'
