The Minister of State for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson for the government, Eng. Sakher Dudin, said Friday that the popular rallies and protests that Jordanians carried out earlier in the day demonstrate Jordan's steadfast and historic stance in support of the Palestinian people and Al Aqsa Mosque.

According to Dudin, the fact that the events occured within the framework of the pandemic further illustrates the strength and unity of the Jordanian position.

He pointed to the symmetry of the public and official position, emphasizing that all Jordanians are united behind their wise Hashemite leadership.

Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein holds the honor of the historical custodianship of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, he said.

Dudin indicated that the popular rallies in support of the Palestinian brothers complement the relentless political and diplomatic efforts led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, which have always stressed that Jerusalem is a red line.

He concluded that the Israeli Occupation is “playing with fire” through its aggressive, immoral and illegal practices that push the region towards more conflict, undermining peace opportunities, and threatening the security of the entire region.
