Monday, the Israeli Occupation launched multiple airstrikes over Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza Strip which resulted in nine deaths and several injuries.

According to Al-Jazeera, "Gaza’s health ministry said nine Palestinians were killed by Israeli [Occupation] air strikes on the Strip."

Three of the deaths included children, witnesses told Al Jazeera reporters.

Additionally, local Palestinian sources reported that Israeli Occupation drones targeted a motorcycle near the Al-Taqwa Mosque in Beit Hanoun with at least one missile, noting that the children who were killed were pedestrians at the moment of the bombing.

Ambulances transported the bodies of the deceased and injured to a hospital.

Additionally, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) said it launched air strikes on Gaza, killing a senior Hamas commander.

They added that this was in response to the Hamas airstrikes, which were fired following the uptick in violent confrontations by the IOF on Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.

“We have started, and I repeat started, to attack military targets in Gaza,” an IOF spokesman, Jonathan Conricus told Al-Jazeera reporters.

He said the IOF had targeted “a Hamas military operative.”

Hamas sources in Gaza confirmed to AFP reporters that one of their commanders had been killed.

Earlier Monday, Hamas launched a missile strike against the Israeli Occupation in occupied Jerusalem, in response to its crimes and aggression against the Holy City and its abuse of the people of Sheikh Jarrah and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
