Government removes ban on certain imports from Syria

Saturday, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Maha al-Ali announced that the ban on cetrain imports from Syria has been cancelled for a number of products.

The exemption, which will last for three months, applies to candies, chocolates, wafers, leather shoes, children's clothing, underwear and certain types of electric fans in limited quantities.

The 2018 ban on Syrian merchandise includes coffee, teas, various types of fruits and vegetables, carbonated and mineral water, certain oils, poultry, meat and fish.
