Tuesday, the head of the Jordan Hotel Association (JHA) Abdel Hakeem al-Hindi called on the government to ban the entrance of those who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 into tourist resorts.

He added that measures will be taken against employees in the tourism sector who do not wish to get vaccinated.

He noted that approximately 1,000 employees have been vaccinated in the Dead Sea area Tuesday. He added that the number is expected to rise to 2,000 employees Wednesday.

Hindi gave these statements to Roya as the COVID-19 vaccination campaign for employees of the tourism sector in the Dead Sea is ongoing. The campaign is being implemented by the JHA, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Health and the National Center for Security and Crisis Management.
