Tuesday, during Roya's news bulletin, the Vice President of the Boxing Federation, Mazen Al-Qadi, said that the young boxer Rashid Sweissat suffered from a punch in his third round during his participation in the World Youth Boxing Championships in Poland, which caused him to be transferred to a hospital prior to his death.

Soon after he was admitted into the hospital, he passed away, said Qadi.

He added that the Federation is following up on the legal procedures at a direct request from His Highness Prince Faisal bin Al-Hussein, indicating that the International Federation is also following up the case.

Qadi indicated that the body of the deceased would arrive in Jordan before Thursday.
