"We will live Ramadan as we like, and there will be a promising breakthrough," Dudin said on Al-Haqiqa International Channel, adding that the measures imposed are due to the high number of coronavirus infections and the escalation of the epidemic curve.

He emphasized that the plan at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management is to have vaccinated using three million doses by the beginning of June.

"We must reach 50 to 60 percent of the population."

He pointed out that our commitment to vaccination and wearing face masks will aid the Kingdom in reopening sectors on June 1, indicating that all sectors will be opened if they PCR positivity rates reach five percent.

Regarding the opening of the land borders, Dudin said that there is a committee for the crossings, which presented all the necessary protocols to be put in place at all land, sea and air crossings.
