The Balqa Health Affairs Director Khaled Abdel Fattah said 45,484 people received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine out of a total of 87,629 who registered for vaccination in Balqa up until Sunday evening. In the press statement, he added that 6,059 people received both doses of the vaccine.

Abdel Fattah noted that the process of vaccination is going well and as planned in all vaccination sites in the governorate. There are multiple sites in Balqa to make it easier for people in remote areas to get vaccinated, if the main vaccination is too far for them.

Abdel Fattah called on citizens to register for vaccination in order to stay safe and achieve community immunity.
