Jordan records 65 deaths and 3,340 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 65 deaths and 3,340 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 665,735.

The death toll has risen to 7,773.

The cases are:

-1,033 in Amman

-500 in Irbid, including one in Ramtha

-412 in Zarqa 

-287 in Balqa

-204 in Mafraq

-168 in Madaba 

-164 in Tafilah

-162 in Ajloun

-141 in Jerash

-125 in Aqaba

-116 in Karak

-28 in Ma'an, including eight in Petra

A total of 363 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 338 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 61,669 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 7,940 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 596,293.

There are 2,789 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 26,644 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,320,767.

Sunday, 12.54 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 12.65 percent on Saturday.
