Jordan records 96 deaths and 4,775 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 96 deaths and 4,775 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 655,456 .

The death toll has risen to 7,565.

The cases are:

-1,841 in Amman

-894 in Irbid, including 59 in Ramtha

-688 in Zarqa

-239 in Balqa

-215 in Karak

-188 in Mafraq

-163 in Aqaba

-130 in Madaba

-113 in Ajloun

-109 in Ma'an, including five in Petra

-106 in Tafilah

-89 in Jerash

A total of 342 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 337have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 71,120 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 6,444 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 576,771.

There are 2,933 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 39,735 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,238,652.

Thursday, 12.02 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 13 percent on Wednesday.
