Jordan records 109 deaths and 9,269 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 109 deaths and 9,269 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 544,724.

The death toll has risen to 5,985.

The cases are: 

- 4,510 in Amman

- 1,151 in Irbid, including 101 in Ramtha

- 1,096 in Zarqa

- 661 in Balqa

- 362 in Mafraq

- 280 in Madaba

- 259 in Aqaba

- 230 in Karak

- 223 in Ajloun

- 212 in Jerash

- 144 in Tafilah

- 141 in Ma'an, including 48 in Petra

A total of 440 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 365 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 97,500 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 7,072 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 441,239.

There are 3,277 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 45,933 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 5,523,736.

Monday, 20.18 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 18.89 percent on Sunday.
