Jordan records 56 deaths and 9,535 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 56 deaths and 9,535 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 504,915.

The death toll has risen to 5,553.

The cases are:

-4,702 in Amman

-1,186 in Irbid, including 90 in Ramtha

-306 in Ajloun

-267 in Mafraq

-234 in Aqaba

-180 in Ma'an, including 46 in Petra

-1,213 in Zarqa

-541 in Balqa

-305 in Karak

-242 in Madaba

-219 in Jerash

-140 in Tafilah

A total of 473 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 277 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 86,975 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 5,733 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 412,387.

There are 3,102 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 50,180 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 5,317,747.

Wednesday, 19 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 20.12 percent on Tuesday.
