Jordan records 82 deaths and 9,417 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 82 deaths and 9,417 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 486,470.

The death toll has risen to 5,428.

The cases are:

-4,787 in Amman

-871 in Zarqa

-368 in Aqaba

-340 in Karak

-198 in Tafilah

-87 in Ma'an, including 17 in Petra

-1,078 in Irbid, including 58 in Ramtha

-766 in Balqa

-363 in Madaba

-303 in Mafraq

-181 in Ajloun

-75 in Jerash

A total of 491 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 328 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 79,723 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 5,124 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 401,319.

There are 2,844 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 48,638 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 5,223,283.

Monday, 19.36 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 18.79 percent on Sunday.
