Jordan Chamber of Commerce demands exclusion of health sector from lockdown, curfew

Monday, the representative of the health and medicine sector in the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, Mahmoud Al-Jalis, demanded that health, medical, and pharmaceutical companies be allowed to travel during the hours of the total lockdown and during curfew hours to provide hospitals and medical centers with the equipment, devices and the medication necessary for the continuity of work.

Jalis added that the claim stems from the importance of medical supplies, and other healthcare requirements, especially in light of the COVID-19 situation in the Kingdom.

He also added that this decision needs to be permitted to meet individual's need for medical supplies, especially those infected with the coronvirus who are in home quarantine.
