6.3 magnitude earthquake hits central Greece

Around 12:30pm local time, a 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck central Greece.

The quake struck 100 kilometers southwest of popular tourist destination city Thessaloníki, about 400 km from Athens, in the region of Larissa. 

Video footage shos Larissa residents running to the streets in panic.

One resident told Al Jazeera that he 'thought the floor was going to collapse.' 

According to the network, the earthquake was felt across the country, and into the Balkans.

No injuries or deaths have yet been reported.
