Monday, the Director General of the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA), Nizar Muhaidat, revealed that control and inspection teams, in cooperation with the Royal Police for Environmental Protection, seized an estimated 42 tons of expired fish and marine products from several warehouses in Amman.

Muhaidat explained that this came as a result of extensive monitoring campaigns aimed at inspecting the frozen fish and marine product warehouses, given that they are high-risk foodstuffs.

Muhaidat stated that the expired products were seized to destroy according to the set JFDA rules and the necessary measures have been taken against the violators.

The JFDA urged citizens to contact them if they have any information or complaints on the free complaints number 117114, on email at [email protected], or via WhatsApp on the number 0795632000.
