Jordan records 1,222 coronavirus cases, eight deaths
Jordan has recorded eight coronavirus deaths and 1,222 new COVID-19 cases Friday.
The total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic in Jordan is 332,990.
The death toll has risen to 4,362.
The cases are:
-746 in Amman
-133 in Balqa
-54 in Zarqa
-16 in Jerash
-12 in Aqaba
-Three in Karak
-163 in Irbid, including 26 in Ramtha
-58 in Mafraq
-19 in Madaba
-13 in Tafilah
-Five in Ajloun
-Zero in Ma'an
A total of 52 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 46 have been discharged upon recovery.
There are a total of 10,072 active COVID-19 cases.
A total of 608 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 318,556.
There are 416 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.
A total of 21,311 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 3,984,226.
Friday, 5.73 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
