A source in the Epidemics Committee Sunday stressed the need for citizens to adhere to public safety measures, indicating that the committee is monitoring with concern the return of the higher number of recorded COVID-19 infections in Jordan in recent days.

Sunday, the daily positivity rate of PCR tests reached 5.55 percent out of 21,270 tests conducted. Notably, Jordan recorded 1,181 new COVID-19 cases and 12 deaths.

On Dec. 5, The Minister of Health Nathir Obeidat announced on Roya's Nabd Al-Balad program that for all sectors to re-open, including schools, a sufficient number of PCR tests must be conducted with a positive percentage rate of less than five daily.
