Palestine records seven deaths and 736 new COVID-19 cases

Palestine recorded seven deaths and 736 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Thursday.

The new deaths involved five in the West Bank (two in Hebron; one in Tubas; one in Tulkarem; and one in Nablus), and two in the Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 90.8 percent, while the active case rate is 8.1 percent and the death rate is 1.1 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 17 in Qalqilya; 11 in Tubas; 38 in Tulkarem; 53 in Jenin; 54 in Nablus; 16 in Salfit; 91 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 26 in Bethlehem; 43 in Hebron; 19 in the suburbs of Jerusalem, and 368 in the Gaza Strip.

The recovery cases included 13 in Qalqilya; 38 in Tubas; 67 in Tulkarem; 63 in Jenin; 131 in Nablus; 19 in Salfit; 120 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 56 in Bethlehem; 62 in Hebron; 12 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar, and 689 in the Gaza Strip.

Currently, 91 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 28 are on ventilators.

A total of 4,286 PCR tests were conducted.
