Palestine confirms 21 deaths and 1,251 new coronavirus cases

Palestine recorded 21 deaths and 1,251 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Thursday.

The new deaths involved four in Occupied Jerusalem, 10 in the West Bank and seven in the Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 88.2 percent, while the active case rate is 10.8 percent and the death rate is one percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 17 in Tubas; 14 in Qalqilya; 54 in Tulkarem; 55 in Jenin; 64 in Nablus; seven in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 94 in Ramallah; 67 in Hebron; 54 in Bethlehem; 24 in Salfit; 10 in Jericho; 256 in Jerusalem; and 535 in Gaza Strip.

The recovery cases included 22 in Tubas; 76 in Tulkarem; 25 in Qalqiya; 143 in Ramallah; 119 in Nablus; 56 in Hebron; 58 in Jenin; 32 in Salfit; 124 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 207 in Jerusalem and 730 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 107 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 23 are on ventilators.

A total of 4,581 PCR tests were conducted.
