The Head of the Coronavirus Portfolio, Wael al-Hayajneh said Tuesday that citizens and residents of the Kingdom will not be permitted a choice of which COVID-19 vaccine they will receive. He said those who register on the Ministry of Health's official online platform to get vaccinated, cannot choose a specific vaccine.

Hayajneh added that the coronavirus vaccine is expected to arrive in Jordan in the second half of Jan. or in early Feb. He indicated that a PCR test is not required before receiving the vaccine.

Al-Hayajneh called on citizens and residents who wish to receive the coronavirus vaccine to register on the official online platform (https://vaccine.jo/cvms/), stressing that no vaccine will be given to people before making sure it is safe.

He also stressed that the vaccination will be free of charge.

Additionally, Hayajneh said that those who wish to receive any type of vaccines should register on the official online platform launched by the Ministry of Health.
