The first batch of the Pfizer vaccine totalling to 110,000 doses is set to arrive in the Israeli Occupation Thursday alongside several company representatives through a ‘pilot’ program to experiment with distribution, transit and storage practices of the vaccine. 

The announcement came after the Israel Occupation's Ministry of Health’s announcement of the highest rates of infections in the last two months Monday, with 1,837 new cases.

A vaccine storage and distribution center was set up in the Negev desert where the vaccines will be warehoused.

In November, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the Occupation had signed a eight-million dose vaccine deal with Pfizer, which is enough to administer to four million citizens.

The doses are set to arrive by the end of December.

Additionally, Friday, an agreement was signed with vaccine provider Moderna to triple the amount of vaccines which will be supplied to the the Israeli Occupation, with the original agreement being for two million doses. This deal was expanded to six million doses, which will be sufficient for three million Israeli occupiers.

The vaccine deals are enough to vaccinate just over half of the Israeli Occupation’s population of nine million.

Sunday, the Israeli Occupation Health ministry requested health institutions prepare for the vaccination of around two million people in a six week period upon availability of the vaccines.

However, Israeli Occupation officials displayed concerns amid public fear of receiving the vaccines, noting that a swift vaccination program may spark further fear within the general public.

Notably, the Israeli Occupation has yet to mention if any vaccines will be given to the Palestinian Authority, whose health ministry is still unsure how, when, or with what vaccine, Palestinians will be vaccinated.
