The Ministry of Health in Gaza Saturday announced the tightening of precautionary measures aimed at curbing the spread of the pandemic following a surge of new COVID-19 cases and deaths.
The measures include closures of schools, universities, kindergartens, mosques and weekly markets.
Additionally, a curfew will be imposed from 6:30pm instead of 8pm, provided that shops close their doors at 6pm.
According to the Facebook of the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the ministry spokesman Kamal Al-Shakhra announced a meeting will be held Sunday with the Higher Emergency Committee and educational officials to determine any further action to be taken in regards to the pandemic, with a focus on educational institutions.
