Jordan records 52 deaths and 3,591 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 52 deaths and 3,591 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 227,208.

The death toll since the beginning of the crisis has risen to 2,854.

The cases are: 

  • 890 in Amman
  • 1,047 in Irbid, including 244 in Ramtha
  • 315 in Karak
  • 279 in Mafraq
  • 191 in Ajloun
  • 86 in Madaba
  • 57 in Tafilah
  • 283 in Zarqa
  • 194 in Balqa
  • 121 in Aqaba
  • 74 in Jerash
  • 54 in Ma'an, including 20 in Petra

A total of 226 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 202 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 55,925 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 5,470 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 168,429.

There are 1,774 patients receiving treatment in hospitals, including 426 in the Intensive Care Units.

A total of 24,615 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,601,896.

Wednesday, 14.6 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
