The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Monday fixed the price of kerosene beginning December until end of April 2021, and fixed the fuel price range for electricity bills, following the Council of Ministers press conference.

The Fuel Pricing Committee at the Ministry announced that the price of Kerosene has been set to 460 fils per liter. The price will remain stable until April. November kerosene pricing will be adopted as a basis for fixing the price.

Additionally, the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) set the value of the tariff for the fuel price range on electricity bills for December at a value of zero.

According to the Energy Minister Hala Zawati, the Cabinet's directive included an emphasis on reducing kerosene prices in the event of a decline in international prices during this period, emphasizing the importance of kerosene to citizens during the winter season.
