Sunday, the number of active coronavirus cases in Jordan decreased to 63,041, said the Assistant Secretary General of the Ministry of Health for Primary Health Care Affairs, Ghazi Sharkas.

Sharkas told Jordan News Agency (Petra), that the reason behind the decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases, is citizens' adherence to the required health and safety measures which include wearing facemasks and social distancing.

He added that all cases infected with COVID-19 have been contacted and given home isolation instructions.

Jordan has recorded 68 deaths and 3,598 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 214,307.
