14 human trafficking cases confirmed in Jordan since the start of 2020

Since the beginning of this year, the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit has confirmed 14 human trafficking cases in Jordan, announced the Head of the Investigation Department in the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit in the Public Securirty Directorate (PSD), Abdul Majeed Hamaydeh Thursday.

Hamaydeh added that most of the human trafficking victims were domestic workers.

Many of the cases dealt with are sexual exploitation, organ removal, and forced labor.

For years, the Kingdom has been working to improve legislation and procedures to combat human trafficking in the country.
