Jordan records 67 deaths and 5,000 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 67 deaths and 5,000 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 203,021.

The number of COVID-19 deaths in Jordan now totals 2,509.

The cases are: 

- 1,594 in Amman

- 545 in Zarqa

- 269 in Balqa

- 242 in Ajlun

- 193 in Aqaba

- 48 in Madaba

- 993 in Irbid, including 821 in Ramtha

- 512 in Karak

- 245 in Mafraq

- 212 in Jerash

- 107 in Ma'an, including 43 in Petra

- 40 in Tafilah

A total of 241 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 188 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 64,925 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 4,469 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 135,650.

There are 2,030 patients receiving treatment in hospitals, including 481 in the Intensive Care Units.

A total of 25,964 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,461,304.

Thursday, 19.3 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
