Jordan records highest COVID-19 deaths and cases

Jordan has recorded 91 deaths and 5,996 new coronavirus cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 120,982.

The cases are:

  • 2,987 in Amman
  • 511 in Irbid, of which 24 in Ramtha
  • 266 in Karak
  • 176 in Madaba
  • 104 in Ma'an, of which six in Petra
  • 67 in Ajloun
  • 1,062 in Zarqa
  • 274 in Balqa
  • 253 in Aqaba
  • 158 in Tafilah
  • 80 in Jerash
  • 58 in Mafraq

The death toll since the beginning of the crisis has reached 1,386.

A total of 281 patients have been admitted to hospitals Tuesday and 216 recoveries have been discharged from Jordanian hospitals.

The total amount of patients currently receiving treatment in hospitals totals 1,931, including 422 in Intensive Care Units.

A total of 27,324 PCR tests have been conducted Tuesday, bringing the total number since the beginning of the crisis to 2,095,700.

The percentage of positive cases Tuesday is 21.9 percent.
