The Director of the National Vaccination Program at the Ministry of Health, Kamel Abusal, announced the arrival of 60,000 doses of the remaining batch of seasonal influenza vaccines at the Ministry of Health Tuesday.

Abusal said that this batch will be distributed through the health affairs directorates and hospitals to go to the most vulnerable groups to immunize people with chronic diseases, cancer patients, kidney failure patients and others.

He pointed out 33,000 doses of seasonal influenza vaccines will be assigned to the private sector Tuesday, indicating its distribution through private sector warehouses to pharmacies.

The price of the vaccine has been determined by the Jordanian Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) at about JOD 5.5.

Abusal added that the ministry has provided university hospitals, the UN Relief, Civil Defense agencies and the Royal Medical Services with the vaccine.
