Details on latest COVID-19 infections in Jordan

The number of coronavirus cases recorded in Jordan since the start of the pandemic, last March, reached 7,211 cases, after 620 new COVID-19 cases were recorded on Friday.

A total of 880 COVID-19 patients are currently receiving treatment in hospitals in Jordan up until Saturday morning.

Jordan has recorded 39 coronavirus deaths since the start of the pandemic.

The number of people who recovered from COVID-19 in Jordan rose to 4,035 cases, after 98 recoveries were recorded on Friday.

The total number of tests conducted to detect coronavirus has reached 1,142,025 since the start of the epidemic in Jordan, after 14,064 examinations were performed on Friday.

Jordan recorded 2,460 new COVID-19 cases and 10 deaths this week, only 38 of which are not local cases. Jordan is witnessing an unprecedented increase in the numbers of deaths and infections during the past days, according to the weekly report issued by the Prime Ministry.

Everyone should abide by Defense Orders 11 and 16 for the year 2020, to follow safety standards, wear masks, to not hold gatherings of more than 20 people, to use the Aman app and the Sahatak app, said the Ministry of Health.
